The 5 steps that changed my drawing forever ✏️

Hi Reader,

If you’ve ever felt frustrated with your drawings: like your hand can’t keep up with your imagination, you’re not alone.

Here’s the wild part: improving your drawing isn’t about mastering one “magic” subject. (Sorry, drawing a thousand cat-tutorials won’t do it. 🐱)

👉 But before I share the 5 steps that actually will improve your drawing, let me tell you the mistake I made for years…

I kept copying tutorials and random objects, hoping repetition alone would make me better. And while I got “busier,” my drawings didn’t improve the way I wanted.

The real breakthrough came when I discovered that drawing isn’t about your hand at all, it’s about your eyes.

Great artists throughout history already knew this. Leonardo da Vinci trained like this. So did Cézanne. Even Van Gogh.

Here’s what they practiced:
✅ Training their eyes to
truly see
✅ Practicing with intention, not autopilot
✅ Leaning into discomfort
✅ Getting feedback to catch blind spots
✅ Staying patient and steady

I break each of these down (with examples and exercises you can try today) in my new article:

But here’s the bigger question…
Once you
do see like an artist, what will you do with it?!

Remember, proudly call yourself an artist.
